Venice Presbyterian Preschool is licensed through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

All teachers are required to complete and maintain training in Child Abuse Recognition, Communicable Disease Recognition, First Aid and CPR.

 

About the Director:

Dana Baker attended VPP herself as a preschooler back in 1980-something. She and her husband are both Ross graduates. While attending Miami University for her first degree, Dana taught at Venice Presbyterian Preschool for two years. She loved it so much, that a few years later she decided to return to Miami University for a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Although she completed her student teaching in 3rd grade, her heart belongs to teaching the younger students. Dana was a Title One Kindergarten tutor at Morgan Elementary and taught preschool for Butler County Educational Services Center for several years, including one year of working as an intervention specialist with preschoolers with special needs. This is her sixth year as the administrator at Venice Presbyterian Preschool. She lives in Okeana with her husband and daughter.
